The ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) collaborated to organize Malaysian Student Career Fair 2024 with the Malaysian Students’ Association in Japan (MSAJ), MIDA Tokyo. Malaysia Student Career Fair was successfully organized on 14 September 2024 at Tokyo University. This annual event serves as a key platform for showcasing the capabilities of Malaysian students to Japanese companies, particularly those interested in expanding their operations in Malaysia and recruiting Malaysian talent.
The fair attracted over 100 Malaysian students studying in Japan and 23 participating Japanese companies from various industries, including manufacturing, services, and technology. The event provided Japanese companies with the opportunity to connect with a talented pool of candidates in a focused and efficient setting, fostering deeper engagement between potential employers and candidates.
Key Highlights：
- Supported Japanese companies, including SMEs, in recruiting Malaysian talent.
- Facilitated face-to-face interactions between students and recruiters.
- Offered students career advice and opportunities to network with industry leaders.
Way Forward：
AJC and MIDA Tokyo will continue to support MSAJ to promote Malaysian talent to connect with Japanese companies since talent is one of important factor towards creating sustainable/ innovative investment for long term.
