ASEAN Class at Elementary Schools in September 2021

The ASEAN-Japan Centre conducted school-visits to the following elementary schools. This project aims to deepen understanding of students on the ASEAN Member States. The lectures were given in Japanese language by ASEAN nationals living in Japan to introduce their own countries. 

  1. Omiya Elementary School, Osaka-city, Osaka (Online lecture) 

    Date: 10 September 2021 
    Class: 1st grade (3 classes) 
    Featured countries: Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore 
    Content: Introduction of elementary school, traditional culture, and child’s play  
  1. Onarimon Elementary School, Minato-ku, Tokyo (Face-to-face & Online lecture)  

    Date: 11 September 2021 
    Class: 1st-6th grades (14 classes) 
    Featured country: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam 
    Content: School & Studying(1st grade), Store & town & house (2nd grade), Supermarket & transportation & temple (3rd grade), Water/sewage & waste disposal, disaster prevention (4th grade), Topography & agriculture & food (5th grade), Politic & constitution & tax & election (6th grade) 
  1. Makuhari Higashi Elementary School, Chiba-city, Chiba (Online lecture)

    Class: 3rd grades (3 classes)

    Content: Basic country information (Including experience based activities)
